2 TREES PLANTED FOR EVERY GARMENT PURCHASED
RESTORE + REFORESTATION
We understand that the business of apparel has an impact on forests. It’s not enough just to offset carbon emissions. We want to do more and restore. That's why we work with Trees for the Future (TREES) to plant two trees for every garment you purchase.
Trees capture carbon by removing carbon dioxide from the air, sequestering (or storing) this gas in the soil, and releasing oxygen as a by-product.
PLANTING TREES TO COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE
16 tons is the average annual carbon footprint per person in the United States.
6 mature trees can sequester 1 ton of carbon dioxide a year.
25% of our carbon emissions has historically been captured by forests, farmlands, and grasslands.
We work with TREES to restore forests: a vital part of maintaining a healthy planet.
HEALTHIER COMMUNITIES, HEALTHIER PLANET
In addition to reforestation, TREES works with farmers and their families to provide immersive education, skill-building, and support in utilizing sustainable land practices. This empowers farmers to reclaim their agency, and equips them with the skills needed to move past generational poverty and earn a reliable income.
Working with sustainable land practices, as opposed to destructive modern industrialized farming practices, is not only socially responsible but also helps to rebuild our planet and combat climate change.
