NIRAPON + AMADER KOTHA
Nirapon (safe place in Bangla) is an industry-led nonprofit that works with global brands, retailers, manufacturers, and other NGOs to create and sustain a culture of workplace safety in Bangladesh factories.
Tailor Vintage has been a Nirapon member since 2001. We collaborate with Nirapon leadership and members to support the Nirapon Safety Management Program, which provides educational resources, reporting tools, and management guidance that helps our factory partners advance worker and workplace safety. The work we do together supports factory workers’ human rights, protects factory assets, and drives ethical, sustainable growth in the manufacturing industry.

CODE-OF-CONDUCT
Our yearly Code-of-Conduct (COC) audits ensure safe, sustainable, and robust factories and quality-of-life for employees.
LOCAL + SUSTAINABLE JOBS
The factories we work with are local to the employees. This means employees can walk to work, send their children to the campus daycare, seek medical care in the campus infirmary, and have lunch with their families at home.
TEAM BUILDING
Our co-founders, Richard and Joy, have worked with young leaders in the apparel industry in Bangladesh for over two decades to build and support a team that intimately understands the people and resources in their community.
SUSTAINABLE SOURCING
Before placing orders, Richard visits each factory to get to know the owners and their factories, and understand their management philosophy. This ensures that every partner we work with is aligned with our standards of a safe and sustainable working environment.
LONG-TERM PARTNERSHIPS
Once each factory management or partner supplier is vetted out, our co-founders build long-term partnerships with them, because feedback + optimization = strength. We believe that relationships with members in our supply chain should last more than a season because long-term relationships yield sustainable partnerships.
WRAP CERTIFIED
The factories we work with are WRAP-certified, ensuring that all facilities adhere to ethical standards and operate with integrity and social responsbility. Read more about WRAP's 12 Principles.
ENERGY EFFICIENT
The factories we work with are LEED-certified, energy-efficient buildings that have low impact to environment. Our partner factories use less water and energy, and have water treatment plants that allow water to be renewed and re-used for washing textiles.
GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICES
We conduct Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) audits to ensure that factories are adhering to ethical standards and responsible practices.
