Thirty years ago, Tailor Vintage set out to make sturdy, erudite classics to stand the test of time

Tailor Vintage® is an exploration of fabric and fit, set to the coastal New England style sensibilities of its Connecticut home. A mix of erudite luxury and casual elegance, this family business brings easy and approachable everyday essentials to men of all ages–and their sons – who seek the look of authentic character. Founded in 1993, Tailor Vintage was rapidly characterized by the quality and authenticity of its clothing as well as its well-researched color, and tempting textures; always adhering to the philosophy that form follows function.

With a complete range of ageless style, the base of the brand is a “go-to” shorts silhouette rendered in classic menswear fabrics from Madras patchwork to seersucker; washed, dyed-down and worn-in to perfection. The collection grows quickly with the addition of plush knits, quality pants and functional swimwear, all with a coastal point of view. Perfect for wherever a week’s adventures go…from the workplace to the weekend and beyond…global and well-traveled,Tailor Vintage takes the stories of the fabrics and retells them as wearable clothing.

WE ARE COMMITTED TO

ENGINEERING QUALITY CLOTHING,

CLOSING THE LOOP ON CARBON,

AND RESTORING OUR PLANET

Our Commitment

We are committed to closing the loop on carbon and restoring the planet, while continuing to engineer the quality clothing our customers have come to expect.

We will be Climate Neutral certified by 2023. We will measure, offset, and reduce carbon emissions. In addition, each year, we will be committing to two short-term carbon reduction goals that will affect our emissions in the next 12-24 months.

We are also partnering with:
• Trees for the Future to plant two trees for every garment purchased
• 2Rewear to recycle Tailor Vintage garments that you are no longer wearing

INtentional design

Tailor Vintage continues to engineer quality clothing through intentional design, conscious of the fact that every item it brings to market makes an impact, and that better design results in less waste. We source renewable, low-impact/biodegradable materials, such as cotton and linen, and continues to use OEKO-tex-certified components.

LESS IS MORE

Tailor Vintage innovative and bluesign-certified Airotec® and PUREtec cool® technologies produce the highest quality performance apparel while ensuring the highest degree of safety for the consumer and lowest impact on the environment: Airotec® allows for washing clothes less, meaning less water, detergent, and energy are being consumed.

Building responsibly

We prioritized sustainable sourcing, including good manufacturing practices, and long-term partnerships. Our founders have worked with young leaders in the apparel industry in Bangladesh for over two decades to build a team of strong professionals who intimately understand their community and its resources. Tailor Vintage is a part of Nirapon, an organization of over 50 member brands working to promote safety in more than 330 factories while providing support for their employees. We also continue to work with WRAP-certified factories that adhere to the highest ethical standards of social responsibility, as well as LEED-certified factories that have energy-efficient buildings and water treatment plants that renew/reuse water throughout production cycles.
